Liza M. McCathern

Liza M. McCathern is an Associate Attorney newly licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Attorney McCathern joined Casey Lundregan Burns, P.C. in August 2024 and has become an integral member of both the litigation and housing teams at the firm. Her practice focuses on civil litigation, probate and trust litigation, and housing matters. 

Attorney McCathern received her Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina Joseph F. Rice School of Law in May 2024. In law school, she was a recipient of the Ben Garren Law Endowed Scholarship and served on the executive boards of the International Law Society and the Family Law Society. Prior to pursuing her legal education, Liza graduated from the University of South Carolina as a Sims Scholar, earning a dual degree in Finance and Real Estate.

A Swampscott native, Liza was excited to return to the North Shore after completing her education. In her spare time, she enjoys listening to music, going for long walks with her two dogs, and spending quality time with her family.
