Daniel J. Harren is an experienced litigator licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Attorney Harren joined Casey Lundregan Burns, P.C. after more than seventeen years with the Middlesex County District Attorney’s Office. Starting as a student prosecutor during his third year of law school, he advanced to senior trial attorney where he handled homicide, rape, robbery, firearms, and other serious matters. As a criminal prosecutor, Attorney Harren handled all aspects of litigation including grand jury investigations, trying cases before the Massachusetts District, Juvenile, and Superior Courts, and arguing appellate matters before both the Massachusetts Appeals and Supreme Judicial Courts. At Casey Lundregan Burns, Attorney Harren concentrates his practice in fiduciary litigation where he represents fiduciaries and beneficiaries in trust and estate matters, as well as other related areas.
Throughout his career, Attorney Harren has mentored other attorneys and conducted numerous legal trainings for both lawyers and non-lawyers throughout the State. He has presented at multiple Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) seminars and has been a guest lecturer at Boston College Law School in the areas of motion and trial practice. Always the student, Attorney Harren’s favorite aspect of being an attorney is that he frequently has the opportunity to learn new things.
Dan graduated magna cum laude from Suffolk University Law School, with a concentration in civil litigation which was awarded with distinction. During law school, Dan was a member of the Journal of High Technology Law and the Suffolk University Negotiation Team. Dan completed legal internships with the Civil Division of the United States Attorney’s Office, the District of Massachusetts, the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office Trial Division, and the Middlesex County District Attorney’s Office.
Prior to law school, Dan graduated magna cum laude from Westfield State College with a double major in Environmental Science and Political Science. At Westfield, Dan received awards for academic excellence in Environmental Science and was inducted into Pi Sigma Alpha (the National Political Science Honor Society) and Phi Kappa Phi (an all-discipline honor society).
