Nathan J. Thomas

Law Clerk

Nathan J. Thomas is Law Clerk with the Housing Department at Casey Lundregan Burns, P.C. His practice primarily focuses on housing, landlord-tenant law, and related civil matters. He is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the State of Minnesota.

Nathan is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas School of Law where he was a law clerk for the Hennepin County and Dakota County Attorney’s offices, working in both criminal law and civil litigation. During his time at St. Thomas, Nathan was also selected to be a student attorney in the St. Thomas Federal Commutations Clinic, where he worked on a variety of state and federal clemency petitions on behalf of incarcerated individuals seeking sentence relief.

Prior to law school, Nathan worked in Washington, D.C. as a policy staffer, managing a legislative portfolio that included tax, banking, labor, and housing issues, as well as education, criminal justice, and government affairs. He graduated from the College of William & Mary with Bachelor of Arts degrees in History and Government. While at William & Mary, Nathan was a member of the track and cross-country teams and served as president of the Student Athlete Advisory Council.

Nathan is a recent arrival to the North Shore and is looking forward to all the area has to offer. He and his wife, a North Shore native, reside in Salem where they enjoy hiking, biking, and spending time on the water.
